Advertising Week 2010
Adweek is over! At least, for me. There's still the AdClash in Baguio but I won't be attending.
This has been a pretty busy week what with doing banners, leaflets, and finding clothes to wear (<--finding the right clothes is most difficult, yeah?:D)
Day 1, Dec 6, 2010- Plants vs. 2dees, Classroom
A week of preparation all boiled down to this one day when we put up our Plants vs. Zombies-inspired booth for everyone to see.
A week before that day, I was tasked to do leaflets(pics above).
I was told that it was pretty successful so I am very happy that our section's efforts paid off. I had to leave early though because I was just outside the booth doing absolutely nothing.
Day 2, Dec 7, 2010- Advertising goes Hollywood, Bulwagang Balagtas
Every student in our department should wear their most fashionable clothes, so the organizers said. I don't really care much about being fashionable (my everyday clothes, which I wear to school, just look like I was at home about to watch TV except, I'm wearing pants, truth be told). But what choice do I have?
The event was alright, there were endless hours of runway walks by fellow Ad students, funny stand-up comedy by the hosts, and an array of "Hollywood look-alikes".
Day 3, Dec 8, 2010- Blackout Foam Party, The Lounge
I'm telling you, clubs are not my thing. The only reason I attended this was to accompany my friend and classmate, Lucia.
Did I dance, you ask? Yes, unless I wanted to look stupid all by myself, I had to do it. It was fun. But being my ususal awkward self, I had moments when I was just sitting there, staring at the TV screen in front of my seat which played the same video every 3 minutes.
Did I drink? Smoke? No, never.
